This Spring is Marked by the Arrival of Giants of Modern Electronic Music!

Festival Pomladi, a festival of springtime, this year offers a musical and audi-visual programme richer and better than ever before. In collaboration with several partners, Festival Pomladi will see a series of high-quality concerts in Ljubljana and Nova Gorica, ranging from classics of electronic music to fresh experimentalists and emerging stars!  

This year's Festival Pomladi is a series of events in Ljubljana and Nova Gorica. A traditional open-air event, which in previous years took place in Tivoli park, on Slovenska street, at Trg francoske revolucije square etc, will this time be organized on April 30th together with Mesto Mladih Festival in Nova Gorica under the name ODISEJA 2010.
The day will see concerts by Karl Bartos (former member of Kraftwerk), by electronic star MYLO, by legend Anthony Rother and the upcoming Ladytron and Junior Boys with DJ sets by Mira Aroyo and Matt Didemus and others.
It will be the largest open air event Festival Pomladi has ever seen.
Festival Pomladi is therefore moving out of Ljubljana and into new and different contexts.
The opening of the festival on April 15th will be marked by the cult band Mouse On Mars in Kino Šiška, shortly before the release of their new album.
On April 24th the Mostovna club will have the opportunity to host the hot WhoMadeWho, which will be followed by the largest open air event on the Vrtojba border crossing point – ODISEJA 2010 with legends of electronic music on 30th April.
Springtime in Ljubljana will be marked by the return of Burnt Friedman and Jaki Liebzeit, whose Ljubljana concert in 2008 was proclaimed to have been the concert of the year, but also by the arrival of the artist Mira Calix to Kino Šiška. The programme of this festival will be rounded off by numerous collaborations: Roccoco Rot’s Ch0, a club night of the Synaptic group and a concert by American artists WHY?, in cooperation with Škuc Buba.
Special attention will be given to presenting local artists. The “Newcomer floor” is for new producers and bands at selected concerts and clubs as part of the programme.
Since the festival lasts for the whole of spring, it enables you to visit a wide variety of venues, for a diverse programme of concerts, definitely not to be missed! See you there!
